But Technopark has gone one step further to ensure that it is your one stop destination for your every need with the launch of the Technopark Travel and Tourism Co-operative Society LTD, the first and only Tourism Co-operative society functioning in Technopark, offering tailor-made tour and travel packages for public and private companies. Initially, the society was formed to serve government organizations and now it has extended its tours and travel services to all companies operating within Technopark.
The society, which initially started its operations in Technopark in December 2015 under the Government of Kerala Co-operative Department, will connect techies to all of the major tourist destinations in the country with local support of tourism clubs to enhance the experience of the travelers and will avoid over-exploitation from the middlemen. The society is also aiming to provide end to end travel services, including booking accommodation, arranging transport, engaging tourist guides, conducting tour programs apart from providing bus, train, and air ticket booking with lowest possible costs and smooth and transparent payment gateways.
As per the bylaw of the Society, it’s now providing services to private companies to transport employees at Government rates. The society has a fleet of new vehicles registered under it to be used as taxi services and a team of professionally trained and well-mannered drivers. The entire operations will be monitored by the society with GPS and other technologies.
This co-operative society with people’s participation will ensure responsible tourism concepts more meaningfully. The initiators expect that the activities of the society will reach to the grass root level and benefit the local people to enhance their travel and tourism experience.
