Commemorating and concluding the month-long breast cancer awareness program that has been carried out worldwide in the months of October and November, the techies at Technopark Trivandrum decided to do their part as well in contributing to the same. Sneha, the CSR wing of SunTec along with ‘Navoothan Foundation’ will carry out free breast cancer screenings to help women who are unable to access the required facilities or those who are not financially capable of doing so.
Who will be tested:
Women supporting staff and Supporting Staff’s women family members. Preference will be given to staff including those working in departments such as housekeeping, car cleaning staff and the immediate female family members of support staff like security personnel, drivers or any other contract worker who are employed in Technopark Trivandrum. Ladies over 30 years are recommended to attend.
What kind of Tests:
Pre-screening and non-invasive I-Breast screening. Only for those required, a Mammogram will be done, and, if traces are found, reports that can be used for referral to RCC, KIMS or similar institutions will be provided. A secure, mobile unit, in a closed Volvo Bus, specially designed to handle such camps, run by lady staff, will be made available.
