New hopes for Kerala IT at CeBIT Australia.

“Kerala has India’s largest software infrastructure parks.  It is India’s most e-literate State.  The place boasts of abundant qualified manpower and green campuses.  It is already home to many IT majors.  There is a lot more to this beautiful silver in the southern tip of India.  Come, explore and Conquer”.  This is the message given by Kerala IT team which took part in CeBIT held at Sydney, Australia during May 28 – 30, 2013.

CeBIT Australia is the leading business event in the Asia Pacific region for Information and Communications Technology. It has become the largest and most comprehensive annual gathering of industry, government and services in Australia over recent years.  The IT fair brings together a diverse range of industries on a single platform. The three day event witnessed over 500 technology providers, 120+ free show-floor theater sessions and 100 thought leaders in 7 conference streams.

Mr. P H Kurian, IAS, Principal Secretary (IT), Government of Kerala heading the Kerala IT delegation comprising of Mr. K G Girish Babu, CEO and Mr. M. Vasudevan, Senior Manager (Business Development) and CEOs of Kerala IT Companies Acts Info, Arackal Digital, Attinad, Confianz,  Cronos, Enfin, Exalt, Experion, IIC Web Solutions, Kreara, Light Logics,  Mirox, Orisys, Saturn, Se-mentor, Suyati, Techn ocruz, Techrista, Webture and Zesty Beanz.

The delegation had meetings with the Deputy Premier, Director General – Trade & Investment and officials of Trade & Investment.  The NSW Premier Hon’ble Barry O’farrel visiting the Technopark / Kerala IT Stall and expressed hope that Kerala – Australia IT trade will grow over the coming years.  Mr. P H Kurian had a one to one meeting with the Director General and Deputy Premier where lot of bi-lateral matters were discussed.  The NSW team assured that an IT delegation will visit Kerala next year to assess the IT strengths and to make bilateral business stronger.

The delegation made a detailed presentation to the NSW officials and CEOs of Australian companies and members of Australian Chamber and had one to one meeting.

As part of the India ICT Delegation, nine start-ups from Technopark, Trivandrum  could also participate in the business event.
