UST Global’s new campus in Technopark Phase II will be the new home of Chambakulam Chundan, the famous snake boat.
UST Global was handed over the Chambakulam Chundan snakeboat by the owners Chambakulam Boat Club at a gala ceremony attended Thomas Chandy MLA, senior officials of UST Global, and other dignitaries and the public of Champakkulam village.
According to Joe Nalkara, President, UST Global, “Our new campus is an apt home for Chambakulam Chundan for several reasons. This boat and UST Global share something in common – both have impressive stories to tell of success and victory. Our new campus is designed in a very indigenous fashion, a fitting tribute to the heritage and culture of Kerala, and this chundan vallom, a proud symbol of Kerala’s traditional ethos will further enhance the ethnic aura of our campus.”
The snake boat will be kept at the new upcoming campus UST Global in Thiruvananthapuram, and will join the Virgin Racing Formula One ( F1 ) racing car, which is currently displayed at the Technopark Bhavani Atrium by UST Global.
The acquisition of the Chambakulam Chundan is part of UST Global’s efforts to preserve a rich tradition of Kerala, which has ruled the waters for so long. The snake boat will reach the new UST campus on December 30 to a rousing welcome.
