As part of National Youth Day celebration, observed on the birthday of Swami Vivekanada, Smriti Irani, the Union Minister for Human Resource Development addressed the entire Technopark family at Bhavani Atrium on 14th January, 2016. The event ‘Techies for Better India’ was organized by Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC) – the socio-cultural organization in Technopark.
The young cabinet minister and the epitome of youth empowerment shared her insights on the wide potential the country possesses that facilitate steep technological growth in our country. She shared the recent technological interventions in the educational system with regard to the free e-edition of text books classes 1 to 12, which are made available in a Mobile App. Moreover the online courses for diploma, UG and PG would be made accessible at free of cost. She asked the IT professionals to pursue their support for under privileged people and share the technical knowledge including dispensing of e-devices for the needy.
The official gathering was preceded by a flash mob, which gave a warm welcome to the chief guests. On behalf of Technopark Shri. Girish Babu, CEO Technopark, handed over memento to Minister Smriti Irani and Shri Praveen, Secretary, VSC handed over memento on behalf of VSC. Shri Girish (President, VSC) thanked the chief guests and Techies for being part in National Youth Day Celebrations.
