A massive victory grand enough to be celebrated by a nation needs immense work that’s to be honoured in all possible ways. When the largest Tech hub of the country celebrated its Silver Jubille, its successful long 25 years; the country has undoubtedly visioned a promising era of Technological boom. Those were the most vibrant days in the history of this techy giant. The entire campus was shining in the glory of pride and joy. The days were flooded with exciting events and festivals.
Its huge success long back from just five companies in the beginning, to over 330 companies that employ over 47,000 people and provide indirect employment to some 2.5 lakh others is a prideful story not just of the tech hub, but the entire country as well.
The preparations were on its complete blow from a month before. The new logo and website was launched on 27th July 2015, as part of the silver jubilee celebrations, by Shri Oommen Chandy, honorable Chief Minister of Kerala in the presence of Shri PK Kunhalikutty, Minister for Industries and IT, Shri P H Kurian, Principal Secretary to the Department of Industries and IT,and Shri. K G Girish Babu, CEO Technopark, Trivandrum. Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy honoured the visionaries and the administrators behind India’s first and largest IT Park. Apart from official gathering and commemorating the great steps behind this grand victory, there were many exciting events, programs, competitions for techies that swept them off their feet.
Just like evening seashore, Thaikkudam Bridge opened the euphony from smooth melody to bashing thunder blasts setting the spectators on wheel. Being the best and most popular music band in the state, what is more delighting than their popular musical delicacy…In addition the tech hub also had an intimate evening with miraculously astounding performance by the music band, Masala Coffee. Even after a nightfall and day break the techies are not yet free from the resonating echoes of their magical tunes.
Tarang, the inter-company dance competition organized by Natana, the cultural association of Technopark had truly set the stage on fire. Each dance performance pumped up the thrilled audience to ecstasy, a far move from the techy life of its inmates. Exciting prizes were also given to winners of various competitions like short film fest; know your Technopark contest, Love Technopark contests etc.
Chief Minister Shri. Oommen Chandy addressed the gathering at Technopark’s silver jubilee celebrations. Minister for IT and Industries PK Kunhalikkutty, Principal secretary to the Department of IT and Industries PH Kurian, MA Wahid MLA, Technopark CEO KG Girish Babu, Mayor Adv K Chandrika were also seen. The valedictory function concluded with voices of best wishes for the upcoming mileages, adding to the glorious history of this techy giant. The CEO of Technopark, Mr K.G. Girish Babu has honored the winners of various contests with exciting prizes.
