Technomall, the commercial space in Technopark Phase I compound is getting wide responses from commercial firms, which keep knocking at its door for an entry. With the extensive interests from commercial firms and techies, the park authorities are planning to renovate the mall by including facilities like food joints and multiplex theaters.
The CEO of Technopark, K.G. Girish Babu said that they would soon invite expression of Interest for the renovation of Technomall. Designed almost 25 years ago, Technomall at present can cater to the needs of 5000 employees. ‘There are planning
to rope in a qualified agency to develop it as a mall that caters to the needs of the techies in phase I campus’, he added.
Currently there are around 30 service providers including a bank, Ambrosia, Bakin Robins Ice cream outlet, DC Books shop and some computer shops operating from mall. The Downtown Technopark project in phase III will have another big mall, but to cater the needs of Techies in Phase I campus, Technomall is essential.
