Startup Mantra, a wonderful platform and opportunity for startups, prominent angel investors, ecosysytem players and experienced entrepreneurs in the state to showcase their products and innovations is organised by the Kerala Startups Society. Startup Mantra is going to be held at Thiruvananthapuram on September 13, 2014. The national players of the startup ecosystem, angel investors including the chairman of NASSCOM product council, Ravi Gururaj and successful entrepreneurs across the country will take part in the one-day event. Startups Mantra will provide startups in Kerala to seek feedback and advice from experts. Apart from four selected start-ups for the pitching, 10 others will be invited for a ‘Meet over Coffee’ with Shanti Mohan, an Angel Investor, on September 14 where she is going to discuss with participants about Angel Funding.
The event is expected to be first of its kind in terms of the content, the profile of speakers and is expected to initiate the integration of startup ecosystem in Kerala with that of rest of India. The event includes various topics including angel funding and startup accelerator programs. The organisers expect the event to provide a perfect platform for the participants to network with other fellow startup entrepreneurs and angel investors.According to a communiqué from Kerala Startups, “while there is an increased interest in Kerala society about entrepreneurship, our startups find it lot more challenging than their counterparts in other cities like Bangalore and NCR to get sound mentorship and advice. The pitching event and the next day’s Meet-over-Coffee event will provide the participating startups with an opportunity to connect with some of the key people in Indian startup community.” The organisers expect the event to be the perfect stage for participants to network with other fellow startup entrepreneurs and angel investors.
