Kerala and the City of London will collaborate to promote SMEs (small and medium enterprises) and start-ups in the Information Technology sector. The announcement was made during a visit of the Kerala IT delegation, organised by the Group of Technology Companies (GTech), the industry body of IT companies in Kerala, with the support of the State government, to London. The delegation led by P.H. Kurian, Principal Secretary for Industries and IT, included top executives of 15 Kerala-based companies.
London is Europe’s fastest-growing technology capital and their technology ecosystem perfectly matches the innovative start-ups that Kerala offers. We hope to benefit mutually from the convergence of high-quality ideas, human resource and infrastructure, Mr. Kurian said after the visit. K.G. Girish Babu, Chief Executive Officer,Technopark, Trivandrum; Hrishikesh Nair, Chief Executive Officer, Infopark; and Renjith Ramanujam, Chief Executive Officer, GTech, led the delegation at various meetings. The visit was the seventh in the series, organised as part of Global IT Connect, an initiative by GTech and the State government, to promote IT companies in the State in the global market.
