IBS Software, the Technopark Trivandrum based global provider of next generation IT solutions for travel, transportation and logistics industries has been chosen as one among the top 100 companies in the US along with their Indian partner, Avtar, a leading HR consulting company as one among the best companies for women to work at.
The announcement was made following the publishing of the results of the annual survey which is held in the US every year for the past three decades. However, it is for the first time that the survey was extended to conducted for India-based companies. IBS has nearly 3000 employees, 35% of whom are women who comprise of 20 different nationalities with multiple offices across the globe.
The honor for IBS was announced last week after IBS was chosen from a list that included 350 companies from across the world who were shortlisted following multiple interviews conducted with employees that included qualitative and quantitative questions. The assessment was based on yardsticks that included institutionalized women-empowerment platforms, safety measures for women like help lines, self-defense training, anti-sexual harassment policies, women-friendly policy frameworks that include flexible working options, maternity benefits, extra-curricular possibilities, office pick up and drops, work-from-home facilities and work-life balance.
