Just like previous year, DaanUtsav 2015 was quite different which left a legacy of memories, gratitude and happiness in the minds of many. The entire campus was under the clouds of the joy of giving. Technopark in association with Prathidhwani, Prakruthi, Natana, E-wit, Tejus, Tech Friends and Vivekananda Study Circle organized this noble event, which delivered the wonderful reward of bringing smiles of joy.
The best part was the invited special guests were icons of innocence, purity and strength, which outpoured the beautiful language of silence. In this world, where people hardly find time to listen to themselves and others, these tiny tots left this wonderful message. 75 students from Deaf and Dumb school at Jagathy, Trivandrum & Sree Mookambika Sravana Samsara Vidyalayam, Vazhuthacaud and St:Marys School, Pattom floated across the largest green Park adding charm to its beauty. The warm welcome included sumptuous lunch to deep interactions with the kids and getting their wishes done through the already built wish trees in every building. The kids were in their thrill for this unusual day of full-fledged fun and amusement.
The kids roused to the threshold of excitement, as they pass over each sight of Technopark, Trivandrum. From a narrow glimpse to the life at this tech hub from the morning presentations, to a broader and closer vision by experiencing this IT world have brought smiles and unending dreams to them.
Afternoon hit with an unexpected surprise gift in the form of smashing moves and swirling hands, the flash mob did create an energy pool that hit the floor like a supersonic wave drenching the shore of the techy world.
DaanUtsav was inaugurated by the renowned Indian screenwriter, actor, author, singer and journalist Mr. Murali Gopy who has proved himself as a path breaker in his genres. The mob was ecstatic to various reasons from the flash mob to the overwhelming life message from Swapna Augustine who is specially abled and gifted with astoundingly creative artistic talents. Her paintings reached out to the whole world, through the Association of Mouth and Foot Artists (AMFA), Switzerland.
Swapna left echoes of her footprints in the nation’s largest IT hub by giving her favourite Abdul Kalam painting to Technopark, for which she was rewarded in the perfect way both materially and nobly. The event opened its eyes towards the beauty and grace of the noblest act, ‘to give’. The entire event was also wrapped in fun and merriment with flash mob, songs, magic show and the most evoking tale telling pictures by Swapna.
The amusements of the kids were the best part of the day. Some of them even fixed on their dream goal of being a part of this amazing workplace. The day was added to the colourful memories of the techy family.
