TechTop 2014 is the 9th Annual National Innovation Challenge for engineering students, meant to identify, promote and celebrate outstanding engineering talents with Innovative ideas that can be demonstrated and commercialized, will be held from July 25. This year, TechTop 2014 will be held at MBCET Trivandrum.
TechTop will be open to school and college students to visit on July 25 and for the general public on July 26, 2014. A ‘TechQuiz’ for school students from Class X to XII will also be held. The entry-level contest for the quiz will be online for which the registrations on www.techtop.in will begin from Thursday. The finals for the TechQuiz will be held in the city on July 20 for the finalists selected from the online contest. The event will conclude with the valedictory function on July 26 where the winners will be announced with the best projects. The best project will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh sponsored by Degree Controls. The second prize is Rs 50,000, third prize is Rs 20,000 and two consolation prizes of Rs 10,000 each will be given. ‘Women in Technology’ prize of Rs 20,000 will be awarded to the best All-Women Team.
