Technopark conducts a range of activities that gives its workforce their much needed diversion & contentment that lasts.
Tech-a-break
Tech-a-break, the annual event of Technopark community is something that everyone here looks forward to. Starting with a colourful rally it includes a range of song & dance competitions, quiz, skit, tug of war, DJ nights, and a mega night with a celebrity singer. Prizes are distributed to the winners including the much awaited and envied Prestigious Company of the Year award during this occasion. Renowned singers like Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Benny Dayal, Karthik, Vijay Prakash, Chitra Iyer, have performed so far.
Prathidhwani
Prathidhwani is a socio cultural organization of Technopark employees which in their own words is” group was formed with a three dimensional vision to contribute to the cultural, technical and social aspects of our society”. It all started with the screening of ‘Byari’ in 2012, which won the National Award for Best Film that year. Last September, they conducted a short film festival,” Qisa”. About 21 films made solely by the techies were screened in the fest and prizes were handed over by renowned film director Shaji N Karun. From gaining more than 5,000 signatures for women’s safety signature campaign, to raising funds for Uttarakhand flood victims they have come a long way. They have a dedicated website which amongst others gives news of the latest happenings in Technopark, chronicles the achievements of companies & techies, latest trends in the tech world & film reviews. They also conduct technical sessions for techies free of cost.
Technopark Premier League
Taking a cue from IPL Technopark has started its own in-house cricket tournament Technopark Premier League (TPL). . Nearly 130 teams from Technopark participate in this cricket tournament held every year in Technopark Cricket Ground over a period of three months. The techies get an opportunity to show that they are equally deft in cricket pitch like they are in their profession.
Festival celebrations
Onam is celebrated in Technopark with much gusto. It is the time of the year when techies exchange their stylish formals for elegant Kerala sarees & mundus. Onam feasts, Atha Pookkalam Competitions etc. are an integral part of the celebrations. Christmas & New Year are also celebrated with much grandeur.
Seminars & workshops
Seminars & workshops are conducted on a regular basis to enhance the faculties of the techies.This year Technopark hosted seminars on e-waste management, Selenium & Software Estimation Techniques amongst others. Coffee@DBG, conducted by Technopark-based Digital Brand Group every month is another much sought after event. It is an open interactive session on technology trends, where technology enthusiasts from any company can walk in for free.
All these activities prove that techies in Technopark are far from dull jacks whose world begin & end in their workplace. These passionate go-getters are multifaceted personalities who are committed to live their life to the fullest. Keep going techies.
