In50hrs is a platform for ideasmiths, developers, and product designers to come together to work on audacious ideas that solve real problems and build working prototypes (MVP) over a weekend. The first edition of In50hrs will be hosted at Technopark campus from May 3 to May 5, 2013.
The event is being spearheaded by Vijay Anand, brain behind In50Hrs and The Startup Centre, Chennai, and a well known leader in the Indian startups space.
“We have a space, dedicated for the task for 50 hours and summon in some terrific mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, coders, designers and product managers. All shall lend skills to breathe life into that thing that started off as an itch, and a passing moment.”
If you are a dreamer who has a business idea in Web or mobile space, this is a golden opportunity – a weekend to figure if that idea is really worth all that trouble, he said.
If you are a coder or designer looking to get involved in some rather challenging, edgy programming work, then here’s an opportunity – and everyone has got 50 hours to make it work.
Babu Mohanan, well-known entrepreneur, mentor and an angel investor in the local startup community, welcomed the event and said that this announced the arrival of startup ecosystems in the State.
Shameer Thaha, another local entrepreneur, said: “I’m really excited and looking forward to having In50hrs in Thiruvananthapuram. “This will be a great opportunity to identify talent, nurture budding entrepreneurs and build up the ecosystem.”
